reformatting my ipod mini

so my friend just gave me his ipod mini 6 gig i think, and it still comes up "johnnys ipod" on the screen and it has all his music still on it, how do i put my music on it and reformat it so that it comes up "my ipod"?

6 gig?!?!?!? must be a special edition iPod.....anyways, download the iPod updater from www.apple.com and install it. Then, click restore and follow the instructions.
