Hey guys i searched.... Mini wont sync up after taking out software ...but it charges

My 4g doesnt sync up after i pulled the ipod out of the case to fix my button problem, i fixed the problem only to come into another one. Now when i sync up, it charges but i get the usb rejection sound from the cpu and i tried both ports.


what do i do? Will resetting it lose all my songs! i cant lose my songs cause they arent from my computer!

Keep the Menu + Select (center) buttons pressed for about 8 seconds, until you get an Apple logo. Then release then. The iPod will start up again, without losing any songs. Try syncing again after that. If it doesn't work, restart your computer.

Try resetting it (select+menu for 4 sec) then forced disk mode (select+play for 4 sec) to force it to mount and then hook it up to your computer. Hope this helps.

sorry for all the posts,

i took it apart and hooked the "skeleton" up to the computer and plugged in the power, same problem , so its a software issue, not hardware, (i figured maybe it wasnt connecting well enough)

restarted up the cpu and it synced up fine, thanks.
