View Full Version : HELP! My iPod Mini Has Stopped Working

I don't know how it happened but my after disconnecting my iPod mini it just stopped working. It showed a check mark saying that it was okay to disconnect, and after disconnecting, the check mark stayed there. I tried to reset it but all that came up was a folder with a check mark. I have tried everything that apple.com said to do and nothing worked, not even reinstalling everything for my iPod. Apple's website said I would have to pay to have it repaired. Does anyone know what I can do to rectify this problem myself.

P.S. this happened after attempting to install Linux on my iPod mini. I have now deleted all the files related to Linux.

Can you go into disk mode and restore or update your iPod?

Again with linux....*shakes head* When will you guys learn? Listen, all you have to do is download the iPod updater. When you run the program, click "restore" instead of "update" follow the instructions

if you take it into the apple store, they should replace it for free, if you didnt mess with it or take it apart.
