Hi there, I recently got hold of an Ipod Mini from the car booty but when it tried to use it an icon with a plug keeps coming up on screen. I bought a power adapter to see if this would solve the problem but still got no joy.I've tried to reset it but all i get is this plug icon on screen. Can anyone help me please. Thanks

k well first of all s it kinda like a battery sign. If it is the clickwheel isnt plugged in properly i think. Heres a link on opening the ipod mini and be very careful you only need to open the bottom

I have the same issue: apple.com recommended me to update ipod software, so I did. Ever since then, the online program said to now connect the ipod to an ac adapter to "reflash and finish the update." So i had to buy an ac adapter and nothing!
Everytime I attempt to turn on the ipod mini, the applo logo appears, and immediately displays an "ac adapter plug" on it. I tried reseting, restoring won't work because the program won't recognize my ipod. Windows, itunes won't recognize the ipod, it won't turn on, recharge or anything??? Someone please help me, I'm sooo frustrated!
thanks in advanced!

well the plug means, PLUG IT IN..its a software reflash. in other words, the iPod is resetting everything. when u plug it in, you should see a small meter bar progressing. that is good. if it doesnt work, plug your ipod into the computer and put it in disk mode by holding down menu and select while it is rebooting. the computer should recognize it, and you can use the restore tool. after that, plug it in again!
