ipod mini- menu button doesn't work

Hello,
I have ipod mini 4g.
faw days ago i installed an update that will show me hebrew on my ipod.
The hebrew works but suddenly i discover that the menu button doesn't. :(
But it's not mechanic problem, because i can do reset.
(middle button+menu button).

Yesterday i discover something really strange,
the key-locker button do the action that the menu button supposed to.
If i lock the keys and then open the lock, the "ipod screen" go to the last screen (I hope u understand what i ment).

I tried to restore the ipod, to install update and non updates, but nothing!

If anyone have an idea- how to format completly and install, or somehow go to the ipod registry??

I bought it in another country and have no support in israel for that.

lol thats funny....!!!!... Ive really got nothing except take the bottom off than replug your clickwheel in. Find a web site that tells you how to take it apart. Its not that hard when you get use to it. But when your starting out i even broke a peice off ended up chucking the mini becuase it wasnt worth fixing

I had the same problem.


I took the software out blew on it, bloew on the wheel , put it back in, and now it works.



however, i cannot sync up the ipod after i did that..... but it charges, see my post.

im such an idiot sorry i was laughing at your problem now i have the same one. But instead the select button wont work and i cant even select a song

take it outta the casing and blow on it and ease it in.


But hopefuly yours will sync up

I'm not saying you should go without a select button, but you can play songs by pressing the play button.

yah i know that but it really sucks becuase you cant search for songs and when you have 1000 songs it will take like an hour to scan through to a song. Also you pay a mint and without the select button you cant use any features

It was HELL to play songs w/o the menu button because you cant go to the list or back to the main menu


did you do what i said?

mine sync'd up after i restarted the cpu
