losing songs

Everytime I dock my ipod to my ihome none of the songs that I bought on itunes will play. When I remove the ipod and try to listen to them with headphones they still will not play. Only after I hook my ipod up to the computer, play a song, and then remove it will the songs that I bought on itunes play again.

I have updated everything. Anyone have any suggestions?

restoreing your ipod would be your best bet. that's really strange. but if you called apple they'd tell you to restore it and then call them back

Thanks..Now when you say "restore" does that involve deleting all my songs and then putting them on again?

Did you ever find out what the problem is? I am having the same problem on my mini. Its not my Ipod either as i did the fast track repair and got a totally different unit than my original and it is doing the same thing. It has not lost any of my songs from a CD, but the purchased ones drop after about 24 hours of reloading them.
