Hey everyone,
So I thought i'd never encounter iPod troubles like everyone else but that time has come. So I was replacing the battery and I broke my clickwheel connector so I bought a new one on ebay. Put it in, it worked fine for a few hours of play and then when I plugged it to the wall adapter the buttons went funky. The menu button only responds when resetting the ipod, I have to use the hold switch to back out of menus (WTF?!). Can't hold down play to turn it off either. Something isn't right. I'm not sure if there is a compatibility issue with 1st and 2nd generation clickwheels, I don't see why there would be. Has anybody had this problem? Also I used to be able to boot into the ipod BIOS and play with the functions but can't remember how to get in there, and can't find it ANYWHERE on the net. Does anyone remember? Thanks for any info you can give.
P.S. I have a 4gb 1st gen iPod mini.
