Hold Switch... Not software problem

Hi guys,

I was replacing my mini ipod battery and I think i cracked the hold switch. It doesn't have anything sticking out anymore, it's just flat even with the thing that holds the switch. I can switch the hold on and off with a screw driver after I take off the top white panel, but is there an easier fix? If not, how much would a repair cost, and who should I use?

I haven't sent my mini in yet, but i found a site where they do repairs.... since they charge $10 for the top piece...perhaps worth a try?
